Piggybacking For Greater Organic SEO
Elsewhere in my blog I’ve talked at length of “piggybacking” to boost your real estate site’s ranking in Google’s normal organic search results. Piggybacking is somehow using other another sites’ high organic search engine ranking for boosting your own site’s prominence. Piggybacking can also be done with your ads in the Google content network.
Take a look at the most popular real estate sites in your area by searching Google for “<your city name> real estate”. You’ll mostly find your top competitor’s sites. Since this is one of the most popular search terms for people looking to buy or sell real estate, you want to find any sites in these top 10 search results that are using Google ads. If any of these sites are, be sure to do a keyword density lookup as described above on all pages on their site, especially if they are in the top 3 search results for “<your city name> real estate”. Then for each of these pages create a single group of 50 keyword and keyword phrases in exact accordance with the keyword density report for each page. This maximizes the chances that your ads will actually appear on your competitor’s sites! This is piggybacking at it’s finest: allowing you to capitalize on your competitors’ years of hard work on their website! There’s nothing wrong at all with doing this.
In fact, I recommend doing this with any top ranking real estate sites who have Google Ads on them, especially local mortgage broker and real estate lawyer sites.
