Search Engine Optimization: Getting Real Estate Websites High Ranking In Search Engines Part 26

How To Lists

How to go about buying or selling real estate can be mystifying to many people, especially first time buyers.  So you can help make different parts of the home buying process as easy as possible for your website visitors by providing step by step instructional lists.  One creative real estate professional put a 10 step list of instructions first time home buyers can follow step by step for the entire process of home buying.  You could also have step-by-step lists for things like getting a mortgage, how to choose a pre-construction condo, or how to prepare your outdoor pool for winter.  Your lists don’t even have to be real estate related.  Just make sure they’re somehow relevant to the types of people in your farm neighborhood.  Be creative!

“Top” Lists

one innovative real estate professional has a series of lists on their website such as “10 Best Reasons To Move” and “Top 8 Mistakes Sellers Make”.  This is yet another way of taking your experience in real estate and distilling it down to a compelling article.  Another reason to have these “top” lists is search engines love this sort of content.

Freebies

One way of differentiating yourself from competitors is by offering people free items as an incentive to working with you.  One real estate professional offers free Air Miles reward miles for working with him.  His site states “You can earn 2 Free AIR MILES reward miles for every $1,000 of Scarborough or east-end Toronto real estate bought or sold through me to a maximum of 1500 AIR MILES  reward miles per transaction. If you both buy and sell property, you could earn up to 3000 free AIR MILES in total”.  Sometimes you need not even pay anything when delivering these freebies.  Many times freebies or discounts are offered on their own.

Your value add is simply knowing about them and you can present them as if you’re paying for them.  Of course, you can subsidize these offers and make them more compelling.  For instance, if you knew of a local vendor offering 15% off, you could match their offer and offer your prospects 30% off these products/services.
