Avoid Commercial Sounding Words – anti-spam technology usually looks at the words you use in your emails as a factor in determining whether or not to filter the email into the spam folder. So you should avoid using commercial sounding words whenever possible. Now this is somewhat difficult to consistently do and still get your message across. But you needn’t worry about every word you use. One commercial sounding word here and there won’t get your email spam filtered.
One popular anti-spam software program called Lyris MailShield uses a sophisticated rating system for assessing emails. It uses a points system in looking at your emails. It has a list of over 160 commercial sounding words and phrases. Each word/phrase is worth a certain numbers of points, depending on how often it’s typically used in spam type emails. For each instance of the commonly used commercial words and phrases in the subject or body of the email, Lyris assigns to the email a certain number of points. If the email accumulates more than 250 points, the email is assigned as spam. If less than 250 points, the email is delivered to the inbox.
Here are the some of the words and phrases that score the highest points with Lyris MailShield. This type of rating system is how the most sophisticated anti-spam programs work and so this list is a good word filter for your emails:

Sender Authentication – one of the latest ways email providers have for blocking spam is by authenticating the sender. Spammers do all they can to avoid being detected and so they cover their tracks by sending emails from IPs or email address that can’t be traced back to them. So many email providers nowadays want senders to prove they are who they say they are. If these email servers can’t authenticate the sender is who they say they are then they’re more likely to block the email. There are various means a receiving mail server can use for proving the email sender is who they say they are. SPF Records are one of the ways you can prove your identify to these mail servers. If you’re using an email service provider then they are most likely using SPF records.
