Real Estate Website Training: What Top Achieving Real Estate Professionals Have On Their Websites Part 2

School Information – many people want to know if there are schools in the neighborhoods they’re interested in. One Toronto rep has the names, addresses, principal’s name and website links for all the Junior and Senior Public Schools, Separate Schools (IE French Immersion), and French Schools in the area. For those unsure what school to enroll their children in the site provides a link to a tool where you can enter your street name and the site tells you what schools are designated for children living on that street.
Child Care – one enterprising Toronto real estate professional has provides a comprehensive list of different types of child care facilities on their site. His site includes contact info for a comprehensive list of nursery schools, kindergarten classes, day care, and home care people. This is especially good information for a real estate website to have as what prompts many people to buy a larger home is the arrival of new children. Knowing that child care is close to home, making it quick and easy to drop off and pick up their children before and after work is yet another selling point of a neighborhood for dual income families.
Community Bulletin Board – local laundromats and grocery stores have bulletin boards, so why can’t your local real estate website? In fact, the local bulletin boards can give you lots of things to put on your site’s board. Find out about the local issues impacting the community (eg. proposals for new construction) that would interest area residents and have them on your board. Your board can include links to a history of the neighborhood, local charitable and non-profit organizations, meeting info for local clubs, pro-environmental initiatives, classes, workshops, tutors, classified ads, lost and found notices, and so on.
Local Business Directory – a directory of local businesses sorted by category like the Yellow Pages can be very useful to residents in your farm neighborhood. There may be no directory specific to that neighborhood available online or anywhere else, so area residents who see it will remember it and probably return to your site occasionally. One way of enticing people to sign up for your newsletter is by sending them info on new shops in the neighborhood and (even better) reviews of them.
