Getting Listings With A Brand Building Plan During Winter Time Part 5
January 14, 2010
So now spring time has arrived, and in April you should switch into prospecting mode more. However, you don’t want to stop your website and online building activities entirely. So let’s say you scale your brand building back so that you’re writing only 2 articles per week and posting one back link per day on average. That means you’re only spending about 8 hours max per week on your website and online backlink building.
Come April, I suggest a lot of your time is best spent walking around and interacting with your farm neighborhood. Lots of new listings will start cropping up around this time, and you should be there to inspect them as soon as these homes are listed. In doing this, you’ll have ample opportunity for creating great social media content along the way. Buy yourself a camcorder (or use your digital camera) and interview people in the neighborhood about whatever you like. This could be your weekly content website instead of written articles for a time. You could talk to area residents about who they are, what they do, and what they like and don’t like about the area. You could talk to local shop owners about their business. Be sure to post these articles on your website and on YouTube. These business owners will adore you for this and will likely start sending referrals your way in time! Be sure to ask area residents you interview for their email address so you can send them your video interview with them and others from the area. Isn’t this a great way of building your email database? You can make it happen easily, and for so little cost!
So now you’ve got a plan you can use as you please for the next three months while the real estate market is slow. Once spring and summer time come, be sure to keep these activities I’ve talked about going while you’re fielding inquiries from prospects. Let’s make 2010 your best money making year ever! I’m committed to helping you do that. I encourage you to look throughout my blog of over 230 articles to date for more information to help you succeed. I also teach a variety of continuing education credit courses. You can see what I offer here.
