How To Host Powerful Webinars Part 4
November 11, 2009
For instance, you might ask a poll question: “Do any of you currently live in this neighborhood?”, that neighborhood being one of your farm neighborhoods. For anyone that answers ‘Yes’ to the question, ask them to make some comments about why they live in the neighborhood and what they like and don’t like about it. Most people will be more than happy to offer enthusiastic responses to these questions. This interaction will go a long way toward building a rapport with these respondents as well as your credibility with all the attendees.
As in a classroom, many webinar providers allow your attendees to raise their hand to make a question or comment. For instance, with WebEx webinars there is a little hand symbol that attendees can click if they want to speak. So be sure to educate your attendees on this feature and encourage them to use it whenever they want to say something.
Record Your Webinars
It’s wise to record your webinars as many people will register but (for whatever reason) will not attend the call. Most webinar providers have a built-in record function for webinars. Many will not attend the call live, so don’t be dismayed if only 30-50% of your registrants actually attend the call. Many registered but had no intention of attending the call live, assuming you would send them a recording of the webinar, so for this reason alone you should record them. Some webinar providers will be able to tell you which of your registrants actually listened to the webinar and which didn’t. If the provider doesn’t offer this info, try offering the webinar on a limited time basis. You could make the webinar recording available to registrants for a week only and then delete it. That way, they won’t be able to put off listening to it for very long.
Advertise Your Webinars Globally
Don’t just advertise your webinars to local people. Many real estate investors know the best time to buy properties is when the market is down, so if your local real estate market has particularly suffered, it’s an especially good idea to play up this fact in your global advertising.
Try advertising your webinars in countries who have lots of immigrants regularly coming to your country. A down market may motivate those thinking of moving to Canada to invest now rather than when they arrive. Craig’s List has local ad sites in 570 cities in 50 countries. If the currency from a particular country is currently very strong, many investors from that country will want to use that to their advantage by buying properties abroad. So try keeping abreast about what is happening with global currency exchange rates. Remember that many investors buy properties without even seeing them if the numbers look good to them.
