The Small Differences Between Top Producers And Everyone Else Part 7

October 30, 2009

The researchers then made a startling discovery.  Once 100 monkeys on this one island had learned this behavior, suddenly the monkeys on other nearby islands started washing their sweet potatoes before eating them … even though they had never had any physical contact with the monkeys on the island of Koshima!

The conclusion is when a phenomenon “tips”, there is more at work than is scientifically explainable.  When an idea permeates the collective consciousness of a certain number of people, somehow that consciousness gets automatically transferred to people through means science can’t explain.  Perhaps this explains why the same sorts of pyramid like structures found throughout Egypt are also found extensively throughout South America, even though it seems these cultures did not have direct contact with one another during these times.

I think the Hundred Monkey phenomena is the same thing discussed in the movie The Secret and more so in the movie What The Bleep Do We Know?  There is strong scientific evidence to suggest that people are transmitters and receivers of energy at the quantum (IE atomic) level and that our thoughts and emotions have a direct impact upon physical matter.  In What The Bleep, a Japanese author named Masuru Emoto did some experiments testing whether our thoughts and emotions would have an impact upon the molecular structure of water.  In these experiments, Emoto would have subjects direct specific positive or negative emotions at samples of water.  He then froze the water samples and examined each of them under a microscope.

Emoto found that the water samples which had positive, loving emotions directed at them largely exhibited beautiful, symmetrical patterns in the water crystals.  Conversely, Emoto found the samples which had been exposed to negative emotions mostly had ugly, asymmetrical patterns in the water crystals.  Considering the human body is 70% water, it’s quite understandable our thoughts can have a major effect on other people.

Becoming A Maven

As noted, mavens “love teaching and helping others with their extensive knowledge”.  This is really just customer service: using your real estate knowledge and abilities to help people get what they want.  You do a service to your customers when you offer them things they can’t do or don’t want to do.  The main thing the public wants out of today’s real estate professionals is knowledge and expertise about the local real estate market.  So your entire approach to marketing your business must exude your deep expertise in your local real estate market AND your willingness to share it freely with whoever wants it.
