Soaring Your Website’s Search Engine Ranking With Reciprocal Links

Funny SiteHaving your website’s link on other people’s web pages is one of the best ways in getting your website high ranking in online search engines. This is called your linking strategy. Your linking strategy is how you go about getting your website links on specific websites you target. Best of all, this won’t cost you anything to accomplish except time!  So here are some tips for effective linking strategies for real estate websites:

1. Offer Reciprocal Links

A reciprocal link is when you have another website put your website’s link on at least one of their pages, and in exchange you do the same for them on your website. It’s also known as a links exchange. The reason this is done is search engines put much stock in how many websites have your links on them when determining how highly to rank you in their search results. One of the top ways people find new websites is through links sections on websites they visit, so it’s vitally important having your website links on lots of other websites.

2. Do Reciprocal Links With Local Real Estate Professionals

I said it’s important having your website links on lots of websites, but I didn’t say you should have your links on just any site. Having your website on websites from many different walks of life can really hurt your search engine ranking. Besides, if someone with a restaurant supplies website asked you to do a reciprocal links exchange with them, would you even bother responding? Would they respond to your links exchange request either? It’s unlikely you’d get any traffic to your site from the types of people visiting a restaurant supplies site.

Seek out real estate professionals in your farm areas to do reciprocal link exchanges with. You should definitely do exchanges with top notch, trusted professionals in your area, especially those who are used the most during real estate transactions eg. mortgage brokers, real estate lawyers. You could take this a step further and do links exchanges with local businesses in your farm area, especially those with products or services often needed quickly by new residents to the area: the local welcome wagon, child day care services, dog walking services, tutors, etc.

The best thing about having links with local real estate professionals and local businesses is they can become lifelong referral partners. To grow these relationships, start with giving them a referral, not waiting for a referral first. Give out referrals whenever you can strictly to people who are in your reciprocal links section. You may be surprised at how quickly one of these partners returns the favor!
