Present Using Your Web Site
The old way of conducting listing presentations was using print handouts alone. A real estate professional presented a CMA, comparable photos, ads, fliers and company literature.

1. Making Your Site More About You Than Your Business
Home seekers primarily want to see pictures of homes and helpful real estate buying/selling tips on real estate websites. So don’t have lots of pages on you. A single “About Me” page will suffice. Your site’s focus should be your visitor’s interests, not on your own. So offer many ways of fulfilling their buying and selling needs. Have lots of information on your farm areas. A great place for lots of neighborhood-specific information is Wikipedia. On that site look up the cities your farm areas are in and you’ll find a list of neighborhoods in each city along with an info page for each neighborhood. If you can’t find web articles pertinent to your farm area, look at offline sources, especially government sources. Go to the local library and ask for any information on your farm area.

Your Biography
Think of this page as an overview of your resume. It should include a recent photo, company logo, phone numbers (including fax), and bullet points on your real estate experience, career highlights, and educational background (real estate specific training and any post-secondary). What do you think are your best business skills? List your top 5 on this page.
Your Testimonials
Testimonials are the best way of proving your services are superior to competitors. Include photos of your testifying clients and 3-4 lines of their testimonies. The more testimonials you can get, the better, because you’ll be able to choose the best ones for this page. Create a testimonials page on your website too. Don’t have any testimonials, or are unhappy with the ones you have? Contact some of your past customers with whom you have an outstanding rapport, asking them to take a few minutes and write about their experience in dealing with you. Don’t ask them for a ‘rave review’, ask them to be honest. You’ll learn about your strengths and weaknesses, some you may not be aware of. (more…)
